Hey everyone, I'm K.R. Maxon. This is my un-official biography if you will. My pen name is Krystal Ranae Maxon, shortened to the K.R. Maxon you see on the homepage.
Well, a bit about me: I live in a little town called Lindon, Utah. I...quite obviously...like to write. I also like to draw with both pencils and charcoal. I'm a ballroom dancer on my high school's team, and I also play the cello.
Music is my biggest influence to my writing. I can't live without it. My biggest influence is 30 Seconds to Mars. I also like Sixx:A.M., Hoobastank, Vertical Horizon, Linkin Park, The Goo Goo Dolls, Within Tempation, Evanescence, and more. I love soundtracks as well. Transformers had one of the greatest scores EVER...at least in my opinion.
I love to read. I guess when it comes to writing, you pretty much have to love books to write well. My biggest influences include H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Chris Wooding, James Patterson, Ursula K. LeGuin, Ray Bradbury, and various others. My favorite book (at least for the time being) is Maximum Ride by James Patterson. The Call of Cthulhu, The Raven, Nanthicana, The Thing on the Doorstep, and In the Walls of Eryx fall into my list of favorite short stories and poems.
On the subject of movies and TV, The Prestige rocks my world. I also enjoy the Pirates Trilogy, Serenity, and the Bourne Trilogy. I like dark films, some sci-fi and fantasy, and action. I love the TV series Supernatural, as well as Heroes, Stargate Atlantis, Firefly, and Invader Zim (Cuz you gotta love a cartoon show or two).
